Every October, Yoshi Akiba opens up her jazz club and restaurant to share Japanese culture with the community. In the morning is a participatory workshop, which includes the Tea Ceremony, Flower Arrangement, Sumie Workshop, Origami, Calligraphy, and Koto performance.
Afternoon performances in the club include traditional music, dance and poetry with modern twists. Followed by a special 40th anniversary presentation of Yoshi Akiba’s life story through choreographed dance and music and (photo) slide and narration.
